Voted!

I casted my vote. Its my 3rd vote ever. I am not politically inclined to a group nor I don't know too much about the candidates. When I was younger I used to think that one should vote for the candidate by looking at his or her personal profile and personality, not judging him by the party. And now I feel that however good the person is, ultimately its the group he is from or the party he is from that is taking the decisions. Like they say, being a part of an alliance hinders our freedom to take a decision, so its not all upto the person whom we vote the decisions are upto. So I voted for the party that I felt is the best among the lot. Though I am not saying whom I voted for let me tell you that I don't believe in Communism. I believe communism is a good idea from a humanitarian point of view, but I also believe that it goes against one of the basic laws of nature - 'Survival of the Fittest', and hence tooo impractical.

First Day, first show.

1st day at the new office. Unlike I had thought, there is a smoking zone in the building. The work atmosphere is nice, everyone seems friendly and the Rs.1.50 that we are supposed to pay for tea at the office goes to charity. Nice. There is nothing more that I can say about the new office as of now since what I did there today was nothing more than introducing myself to new colleagues, going through the company website and chatting a little bit. I hope every changes and whatever that is happening is for a better today and tomorrow. :) , like how a sexy damsel asked me for a lift on the bike all because of me being 30 minutes late to go somewhere in the morning.

Good bye to hot drinks from today. I had my last peg of brandy yesterday at Jessal’s place which I drank making faces. Even the last few times I had some, I found it hard to drink it unlike earlier days. Not sure what had happened, and one of my friends said its because there is some bad fat in my body thats giving me this feeling. However, I want to look at it as a sign from somewhere, or from my own body, asking me to stop taking hot drinks and stop drinking from now on. So here I am going to be a Beer boy or Beer man from today. Good bye brandies, whiskey, rums and chaarayams. My pals, for the next party, get a couple of beer bottles for me :).

I am changing jobs. Actually, Its the same job but a different company. I am supposed to join the new office this wednesday the 15th. I am not sure how I will find the new workplace, but one thing I am sure of is that, I will be cutting down on the cigarettes since I didnt see any smoking zones in the new office building since the govt. has asked all the office building owners not to allow a smoking zone. Lets hope every change is for a better and brighter future. Wish me luck.

Nano is in Town.

The much awaited Tata Nano is in town. I stopped by Concorde Motors to take a look at Tata’s Rs.1 Lakh baby. For a car that costs a lakh Nano is one hell of a car. With its cute looks, the car looks like a high school girl in her uniform. And the interiors, much bigger than a Maruti 800. I looked back from the driver’s seat and for a moment I thought I was sitting inside a Hyundai Santro. Hats off to you Tata. The guy at the showroom said more than 100 people have booked the car from that showroom. The only complaint that I heard from others around was that if a truck comes and hit the car on its face, we may die, as if no one is gonna die if a truck hits other cars head-on. :)
